Appraisals
Jewelry appraisals for insurance purposes are included (at request)
with any jewelry item we sell at a value of $500 or more.
For personal items appraisals are $50 per item or matched set.
You will receive a copy with photo for your records, a copy for the insurance agency,
and we keep an additional copy in store in case the original is lost.
With market price fluctuations of gemstones and precious metals
it is generally advisable to have appraisals updated every 3 to 5 years.
Appraisals include:
A photo or photos of the item or items
Weight and/or dimensions of any stones
Total weight of any precious metals
Value of stone(s) and materials individually
Total current market replacement value of the item(s)
*Please note. If Touch of Silver, Gold and Old performs an appraisal on a piece or pieces
of jewelry we agree NOT buy any of the items. However, an visual examination for an
opinion on the value of a piece or pieces of jewelry is always free. Visual estimations
are not valid for insurance purposes.
