Common Colors- light green to very dark green, some have hints of yellow
Hardness- 7.5 - 8
Special Care- Emerald is a member of the beryl group (same as aquamarine) thus making it very tough, but it is prone to chipping and should be treated with care.
Mystical Healing Properties- Emerald is thought to remove emotional distress. In ancient times emerald was called upon in trying to rid people of the plague. It is thought to aid in fertility, honesty, personal growth and to help in strengthening relationships.
