Special Care- Marcasite is generally not set by itself and marcasite jewelry

will contain dozens or possibly a hundred or more of the stones and thus

marcasite is not suitable for everyday wear. When buying marcasite jewelry

it is important to find out if the stones have been simply glued in or if they

have been individually bead set, as glue will always fail over time and having

metal surrounding the stone is far more secure than even brand new glue.

Mystical Healing Properties- Marcasite is a white iron pyrite which, on the whole,

is mined in the French alps. Marcasite is thought to make people see reality,

or bring them back down to earth. Ancient Egyptians used the stone to calm

hysteria and anxiety. It is believed to repel negative energies and evil. Physically

it is thought to cleans the blood.
