Mystical Healing Properties- Sapphire is thought to enhance creativity and clarity of thought. A very strong "brain" stone it is believed that a sapphire has the ability to regulate chemical imbalances in the brain and relieve some types of depression. Physically the sapphire is used to treat boils and skin blemishes, some blood disorders, insomnia, and to strengthen the heart. An ancient legend says that the original 10 commandments given to Moses may have been carved into blocks of solid sapphire. It is also known as the stone of faithfulness.
